Who Are We?

We have 3 groups of people who keep the hackspace running smoothly: directors, room leads and members. All of them are responsible for different aspects of maintaining a useable and welcoming space. Everyone involved works for free because we believe in the vision for a friendly community of designers, makers and tinkerers.

Directors

The directors are responsible for keeping the organisation running as a business. They get the fun of rent, bills, insurance and generally steering the organisation to efficiently work towards our vision.

Room Leads

Each of the rooms in our unit has a small group of room leads who take care of their areas of the space. They ensure that tools are in good working order, materials are available and that members get inductions for specific tools that require them.

Members

Every director and room lead is also a member of the space, and we can all take some responsibility for maintaining tools, keeping the space tidy, and making small improvements where we see opportunities.
