Deep in the heart of Gloucestershire, last year, a group of young minds dared to dream up a plan to tackle their recycling — by summoning monsters to do their bidding. Their target? Four monstrous recycling bins, each designed to devour waste with a vengeance.
Enter the fearless members of the local Hackspace, armed with saws, drills, and a shared sense of mischief. Under the cloak of darkness, our intrepid volunteers worked tirelessly to breathe life into the skeletal remains of dead trees, moulding them into forms that would give even the toughest cardboard box nightmares.
Months passed. Glue dried. Sawdust settled. By July, the blank forms were finally ready for their departure from the Hackspace. The team braved the journey to deliver them, where they were met with the enthusiasm of the masterminds who had conjured them up.
The monsters in progress
Silence reigned until September, when an invitation arrived for the grand unveiling. We still haven’t heard from the brave soul who attended—but rumour has it you might spot his ghost occasionally making blanks for the wood lathe.
